Microblading
Done with a hand tool with a small row of needles that look like a blade. This blade is used to cut through the skin, approximately 0.5mm into the top layer of the dermis. It creates small incisions throughout the brow to mimic hairstrokes.
- Scarring can occur over time due to multiple touch-ups and inexperienced artists.
- Hair strokes cannot be overlapped or placed close together, creating an unrealistic appearance
- Whispy, natural brows are not possible with this technique
- This procedure is painful even with numbing
- Eventually the strokes bleed into each other creating a powder brow effect. All touch-ups after this will have to be powder brow or be removed with a laser and redone
- Will fade in 12-18 months without regular 6-12 month touchups
Nano Brows
This technique uses a digital tattoo machine with a single needle to place pigment into the skin at the proper depth with minimal tissue damage.
- The use of a tattoo Machine allows us to offer clients more customized, life-like eyebrow options, creating more natural looking hair strokes
- Machine hair strokes have more flexibility than Microblading and can be crossed, wispy and closer together
- Hair strokes fade naturally over time with no discoloration. They blend seamlessly into the clients’ natural eyebrows
- Nano Brows last 2-3 years with touchups
- Touch-ups are typically performed every 12 months
